When your quality of life is compromised by pain, dysfunction, injury or disease, holistic chiropractic care can be beneficial and help speed recovery. Chiropractors are the only type of doctor specifically trained to locate and correct spinal subluxations (misalignments), which are a common�often hidden�cause of back pain, dysfunction, injury and disease. Spinal manipulations can provide a properly aligned spine, a positive mental attitude and support a healthy lifestyle to keep you at the top of your game.

While increasing numbers of people have discovered chiropractic care as a safe, effective way of attaining and maintaining better health, there are still many people who do not understand chiropractic care. Everyday activities such as sitting at a computer, lifting improperly, lack of flexibility, improper exercise habits, poor sleeping habits, emotional stress, sports injuries, headaches, car accidents, slips and falls, etc. all may cause small imbalances in the spine. These imbalances may cause malfunction and ultimately result in compromise of the nervous system, impairment of the muscles, soft tissue damage, and accelerated degeneration. Gentle chiropractic adjustments can help eliminate discomfort, enhance health and eleminate back pain.

Chiropractic adjustments are specialized techniques which improves spinal and extremity joint function. By restoring normal joint function, back pain and tension can be significantly reduced. Anyone who has been to more than one Chiropractor will know that there are many different types of adjustments and treatments used. In our office, Dr. Sandrine has been practicing with a diversified chiropractic technique in the Lake Norman area since 1994. Simply put, this means that we use a wide variety of different adjustments based on the individual patient's condition and their needs. Traditional adjustments as well as gentle low force adjustments are available. Some of the techniques used include Diversified, Thompson, Gonstead, Activator, Applied Kinesiology and Trigger Point Therapy. We treat patients of all ages from babies and children to the elderly with chiropractic and wellness. Adjustments and treatments are available for but not limited to back pain, neck pain, headache, joint pain, TMJ pain as well as extremities pain, tingling or numbness.

Prior studies such as X-rays, MRI or CT-Scan may be requested for review in order to better assess your current condition.

In addition to chiropractic adjustments, most patients can improve their recovery time with the use of modalities to relax muscles such as ice/heat protocol,and/or massage therapy.
