Attention Deficit Disorders ADD/ADHD
According to the National Institute of Mental Health approximately 2 million children in the United States have been diagnosed with attention deficit disorders and most of these children are being treated with stimulant medications. Stimulant medications alone do not address the cause of the problem. The symptoms and long term use of these medications can be habit forming. These medications are not a cure for this condition, as can be seen by the alarmingly increased numbers of adult ADD/ ADHD cases seen today.
There are more complex processes such as allergies, chronic systemic Candida infections, and even hormonal abnormalities that contribute to attention and hyperactivity disorders. We place our focus on identifying and treating the cause of these problems rather than medicating the symptoms.
If your child suffers with these problems and you would like an alternative to long term medication, call and set up a consultation with our doctors.
