Fibromyalgia

Have you been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and not getting relief with your current treatments?

Let us work with you to lower your pain and improve your energy. Because we treat with natural therapies we have a different approach to fibromyalgia than your medical doctor. Rather that treating the symptoms of the syndrome we focus on what hormonal, biochemical or even allergic processes may be contributing to your illness. Did you know that often thyroid problems can cause the symptoms of fibromyalgia?

Our therapies are innovative and effective, and of course chiropractic care can help with the muscle and joint aches as well. We can help you can feel better and have more energy while taking fewer medications. The diagnosis of fibromyalgia, according to the American College of Rheumatology requires that in order to be diagnosed with fibromyalgia you must have experienced widespread aching pain for at least three months and have a minimum of 11 locations on your body that are abnormally tender under relatively mild, firm pressure. To put it bluntly, the diagnosis of fibromyalgia is rather arbitrary and is often made when the true cause of the problem has not been accurately identified. There are many contributing factors to the symptoms commonly referred to as fibromyalgia. Thyroid disorders, chronic yeast (Candidiasis), food allergies, chemical sensitivities, hormonal imbalances, and nutritional deficiencies are just a few of the possible contributing factors. It is unfortunate and sad that so many women who can benefit from alternative treatment have been told that there is essentially no real help. This is a diagram of the locations that are tender with a patient diagnosed with fibromyalgia. Women who have been diagnosed with, or think that they might have fibromyalgia, need to have a detailed consultation regarding their health history. Depending on this history, their symptoms and a complete examination, appropriate testing should be ordered. Every attempt should be made to find out the cause of her symptoms and then an appropriate treatment plan formulated with correction as the primary objective. Accepting fibromyalgia as a lifetime problem with no hope is not an option.
